3 - Chick-Fil-A Student Athletes of the Month
Congratulations to our September Student Athletes of the month,
Jane Olcott and Michael Janis .

Jane , a Villanova commit has played on the varsity team since her freshman year. She is a two-time All Met and all-state selection and a two year captain. Jane is a tremendous team leader that consistently works on team chemistry and strives to recognize the contribution of all of her teammates in her success.
Michael led the Bulldogs football team to a perfect record in September with his 11 TD passes and 0 interceptions. Michael’s big performance came against Gaithersburg HS where he threw for 6 touchdowns in a 49-27 win over the Trojans. Michael is a 3 sport athlete who is an amazing leader on all of his teams and also a top scholar.
Congratulations to both of these wonderful Student Athletes!
Each month, athletes are nominated by their coaches and voted on by the community at churchillathletics.com. Check out the website every month to cast your vote.
4 - Volleyball and Soccer Clinics Were a Hit
Co-ed Volleyball Clinic
About 45 boys and girls in grades 3-8 attended the Fall Volleyball clinic. They learned the basics of setting, digging, and serving. Our Bulldog athlete coaches had fun teaching the kids!
Girls Soccer Clinic
On a chilly morning in October, 28 girls in grades 3-8 came out to learn some soccer from Churchill's Lady Dogs. As you can see from the pictures, everyone got in a good workout and had a great time.

Varsity Field Hockey - Regional Champs!
Varsity Field Hockey is the 4A South Regional Champion! After finishing the regular season 11-1, they entered playoffs as the top seed. On Thursday, October 25, they beat Einstein 6-0 in the sectional semi-final playoff game and went on to beat Wootton in double over-time in the Sectional Finals! On Halloween night, the Lady Dawgs beat WJ 2-0 to take the 4A South Region.
Varsity Cheer Takes 2nd at Counties!

Churchill Varsity Cheer finishes 2nd in the entire County and are moving on to the State Semi-Finals this Saturday!

Good luck to you all! We are so proud of you!
Varsity Boys Soccer - Playoffs Tonight!
The Boys Varsity Soccer team entered the playoffs with a #2 seed. The team opened at home against Walter Johnson and won handily by a 5-2 margin. Led by incredible midfield play by the combination of Shawn Diboti , Jack Yoon and Brian “Nails” Murphy , the Bulldogs controlled the match. Diboti and Aria Ahadpour had 2 goals each. In the second round of play-offs, the Dawgs beat Kennedy 3-2. They are headed to the 4A West Finals game at Whitman tonight at 5:15.
JV Boys Soccer Goes Undefeated
The JV Boys Soccer team completed their season undefeated with 6 wins and 2 ties! They tallied 15 goals for, while only conceding 2 goals the entire season. The boys had great chemistry on and off the field, and really made the most of a season that had so many postponements and cancellation due to weather.

Coach Studner says, "I was very proud to coach this bunch, and they should be very proud of the effort they put forward this year."
Varsity Girls Soccer - Playoffs Tonight!
With a conference record of 7-2, the Lady Dawgs Varsity Soccer Team heads to the Section Finals tonight against Whitman. Go support our team at Whitman at 7:15pm!
JV Girls Soccer
The girls JV soccer team had a great season this year. They worked hard to grow and develop as individual players each and every practice, and even fought through every game to successfully achieve their goals for the week set by Coach Tarzy. With their determination and energy each and every week they were able dominate 80% of their games and get lots of shots on goal. With this, they ended their season with a record of 4-1-3. Good job ladies!!!
Golf finished 2nd in Regular Season
The golf team attended the county tournament on the first of the month where the team finished 2nd and Sophomore Hannah Han-Kim took home 1st place as an individual. After finishing the regular season with a 1st place finish they headed to the University of Maryland for the State tournament. We had a bit of an underwhelming performance with a 7th place finish as a team. We were led by a stellar performance by sophomore, Kaylin Yeoh , who took home the silver medal as the 2nd place individual girl for the entire state.
Cross Country - Meet This Afternoon!
Congratulations to all of the runners participating in last Saturday’s MCPS Championships. The XC team had County Champions for the Girls Varsity 11th grade race, boys 12th grade race & boys 11-12 grade race. In the top race, Tsach Mackey had the best finish of the boys, finishing in 27th place & the boys team finished 12th overall and 6th in the 4A West. For the girls top race, Anjali Iyer was tops for the Bulldogs and finished in 22nd place. The girls team finished in 11th place overall and 7th in the 4A West Section. Great job by all of the runners!

The team will compete today at Watkins Mill HS in the 4a West Regional Championships. The meet begins at 3pm.
