Fall Zoo Babies

Several babies were born this fall.

Our fennec fox pair, Lidi and George, had a litter of three kits—2 boys and a girl—on September 26. The kits are likely to make an appearance outside their nest box at around 5 weeks old, so visitors may get to see them soon.

Two Chacoan peccary peclets were born on October 16 to mother Saffron and father Stoop. And a baby white-faced saki monkey was born in the Learning Center on October 17 to mother Ella and father Marcelo, their fourth offspring together.
