November 2019
*November News & Events*
The weather is changing, the leaves have fallen but, one thing remains the same - there is a lot of good news happening in our community!

We have been quite busy at the Monroe Chamber of Commerce attending and helping organize events like the Monroe Harvest Carnival which was a huge success at Evergreen Speedway, over 2,000 people through the door! Our next big event that we organize is Light up Monroe which falls on December 1st this year. Most of the details have been finalized, so save the date and stay tuned!

Last week, the new edition of ChooseMonroe magazine came out! With a quick push we got it out into our local and surrounding area hotels. The Mobile Visitor Center at Lake Tye has been going through literature like wildfire and we have been re-stocking our Visitor Center table at the Boys and Girls Club weekly!  We are also working on updating our outdated ChooseMonroe kiosk at the corner of Main and Lewis! Janelle met with Northwest Sign & Design for a fresh new look to appeal to residents and visitors. She also drove our beautiful Cascade Loop to Steven's Pass to meet with the marketing manager on ways we can cross promote and work to gain exposure to Monroe for those heading to the mountains this winter!

We are gearing up for November which includes Small Business Saturday November 30th! At the Visitor Center, we will be creating a passport of our Chamber Member promotions and giving away popcorn, hot cocoa and to the first 50 customers a free tote bag provided by Natural Factors stuffed with goodies from our amazing businesses. If your business would like to participate you can register at; Small Business Saturday

Sarah has been hard at work updating our website, checking our chamber members information to confirm it is correct and adding events to the calendar. Do you have any events coming up? Let her know by emailing [email protected]

We thank our Monroe Police & Fire 365 days of the year - as a town we take the chance to be thankful during Monroe Police and Fire week, November 11th -17th. Join us at our next chamber monthly luncheon to find out more and ways you can get involved, while hearing updates on ATVS and Fire District 7.

Don't forget to sign up for the greatest networking opportunity of the year! The Snohomish County Mega Mixer is coming up soon - Registration at Mega Mixer

November is also Pancreatic Cancer Awareness month - wear purple to show your support and help create awareness!
