Serve & Be Well!
As our team is in the final stages of preparing for our Wellness Day program next Tuesday, November 19th, I have been thinking a lot lately on what it means to be well and building this idea into our meetings and events.
I am so proud of the program that our Education Committee has put together for us to learn more about how Wellness fits into not only our personal lives but our professional lives as well. We have an incredible group of speakers, two of which are from our very own New Jersey Chapter! I hope that you'll come out to support your fellow members, learn with us and have some fun too!
For me, serving on the MPI New Jersey Board of Directors has help me on my professional wellness journey. There are a million reasons why serving on the Board has helped me, but the reasons that stand out the most is that it has fueled my passion for our industry, provided me with deeper connections with my professional peers
, and it has ultimately brought a greater purpose to my MPI experience. I encourage any member interested to serving this community to Apply for the 2020-2021 Board of Directors. The deadline to apply is December 31st, and it would be my pleasure to serve with you.

November Education Event: Wellness Day
Next Tuesday, November 19th
As companies start to understand the benefits of corporate wellness for their employees health, meeting planners are following suit.
But exactly how do you implement health and wellness into your events to benefit your attendees?

Join MPI New Jersey for a meet up experience you won't soon forget. We invite you to unwind in the wind at iFLY Paramus for a night of networking and fun!
If you ever wanted to skydive, iFLY will give you the experience but in a safe controlled environment that you can enjoy and also bring to your clients and prospects as a fresh new idea!
Fly Session will be available every 30 minutes from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Only 12 attendees can fly during each session, and you can sign up for your time at the registration table upon arrival.
If flying is not for you, come enjoy the networking along with food and beverage provided by Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

On November 2nd & 3rd a group of 12 "students" came together at
Seaview, A Dolce Hotel with Past President, Joanne Dennison, CMP for her Two
Day Meeting & Event Intensive Class.
Joanne's class is a MUST for anyone looking to take the exam to achieve their CMP from the Events Industry Council.
Don't worry though, if you missed the November Class there is another class in the tri-state area on December 14th & 15th you can still attend. Also, don't forget about Joanne's "Pay Once, Take Twice" offer.
