November Climate Solutions Caucus Round-Up

Dear Stakeholder,

Please see below for highlights from November and a preview of what’s to come.

November Engagement:

House and Senate staffers of the Caucus visit Amazon HQ2 for a discussion of their climate goals.

  • In late October, staff of the House and Senate bipartisan Climate Solutions Caucus traveled to Amazon’s HQ2 in Crystal City, VA to discuss the company’s climate goals and implementation strategy.

  • In late November, Members of the Caucus were joined by manufacturers in the auto and battery fields, including Tesla, Rivian, Panasonic, LG, and ZETA, to discuss efforts to secure and onshore battery supply chains and maintain U.S. dominance in these burgeoning economic sectors.

  • Co-Chairs Garbarino & Houlahan released a joint statement in support of recent bipartisan efforts to advance permitting reform by the end of the 118th Congress.

  • The Caucus circulated a year-end list of bipartisan Member-led bills for awareness and consideration before the end of the 118th Congress. Stakeholders are invited to check out the list.

Looking Ahead:

In December, Co-Chairs Garbarino and Houlahan will meet to discuss priorities for the 119th Congress.

Caucus staff plans to gather for a discussion on agroforestry as an economic benefit to agricultural producers and climate solutions.

As always, stakeholders are encouraged to approach the Climate Solutions Caucus with priorities and engagement ideas as the 2024-2025 programmatic calendar continues to develop.
