Zero Suicide Tidbit
As organizations are forming their Zero Suicide Implementation Team, it’s important to consider how to include lived experience on your team. The Education Development Center identifies one of the first actions should be to partner with people with lived experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating efforts.
View the quick video , where Leah Harris, Director of Communications & Development at the National Empowerment Center, shares her thoughts about the importance of involving people with lived experiences in leadership roles, to improve screening, assessment, and patient engagement.
StarkMHAR Shout-out!
StarkMHAR would like to recognize Aaron Wagster and Stephanie DeLong from ICAN's Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) progr am. SAMHSA’s PATH program connects people with serious mental illness (SMI) experiencing homelessness to needed services and supports . Aaron and Stephanie continue to successfully outreach and connect people in our community. They are also intentional in making sure that every person they interact with knows that they are valued.

Thank you for all that you do!
Trauma Tidbit
"At a basic level TIC is about treating clients with respect and creating environment where staff feel supported. Health integration at a basic level is working collaboratively to attend to the whole client. The complexity is making this happen moment by moment, but the results are worth it for our clients, staff and community."

--Steven Loos, Psy.D, LP, Central Minnesota Mental Health Center
