Dear HBC Member,

As most of you are aware the Covid-19 Virus is having a devastating impact on small businesses across the Country, in California and locally here in Alameda. The International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) has recently predicted that as many as 50% of all the Gyms and Fitness Centers in the country could close and go out of business.

Over the past seven (7) months we here at HBC have been working hard and using every resource we have available to us in order not to be one of those casualties. With NO Dues Revenue for the past (7) seven months and ongoing expenses we have been able to keep HBC open and bring you the limited programs and services allowed and authorized under the Orders issued by Federal, State and County Agencies. This has been extremely difficult and now we have reached a pivotal point in time. It is now time for us to turn to you, the Membership and ask that you join in the effort to keep HBC alive.

THEREFORE….Effective November 1st, 2020 all active Memberships will be charged 100% of their current monthly dues rate. We have calculated that it will require a minimum of 1,300 Memberships to participate in order for HBC to sustain its current operations. This represents 80% of our current Membership base.

If successful we will be able to continue the programs and services allowed and authorized by the Orders in Place. We would also explore the possibility of extending the Hours of Operation in order to provide the Membership more access options.

We are proud to have been a Community oriented Club that has served generations of families. We are committed to making it through this difficult period of time, but we need your support as members in keeping our Club alive. Without your commitment to retaining your membership right now, our Club is simply not sustainable.

Please help keep the Club Alive! Please retain your membership.

We thank you in advance for your support!
