Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
We are grateful for the 50 plus GLD Pastors' Wives who attended the sessions and dinner with Jill Briscoe. What a privilege to hear from such a Rooted Woman of Valor, who has influenced so many of us as pastors' wives. Our annual GLD Conference continues to be one of our best ways to connect, encourage and resource you. Mark your calendar to attend next year with your husband on October 14-15, 2019 at Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL.
Our November-December prayer theme is one of thankfulness for our Rooted Woman of Valor's Fruit of being Praised by Family.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also,
and he praises her:
"Many women have done excellently,
but you surpass them all."
As we pray for each other during these family-oriented weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas, let's pray that each of us will continue to bear the fruit of the Rooted Woman of Valor in Proverbs 31 (listed below) as we seek to bless those we love and serve.
Here are the previous prayer links for your reference.
- Attend your area Pastor and Wife Gatherings that your District leader is seeking to offer. Many of you attended our GLD Resilient Ministry retreats over the past two years. Now is the time to connect and resource each other in your GLD area.
- Jill Briscoe's book on insights and encouragement to pastors' wives, Renewal on the Run, is still available on Amazon. Her insights on pastors' wives issues are so true today.
Have a blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas,
Jan Thompson and the GLD Pastors' Wives' Team
