A Message from the Director

M any  wild and imaginative predictions  have been made over the past few decades  on the year  2020.  It's hard to believe that  it is only two weeks away While  having  flying cars is still a long way to go (probably not in my lifetime), we are moving closer to riding in autonomous vehicles.
At  EPICentre , we are constantly thinking of new ways to improve our programs and services and how we can help train the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators.  Last month, we signed an MOU with SOAR Innovation and the Municipality of Chatham-Kent  to  support  entrepreneurship in food and agriculture sectors.

The  EPIC  VentureWomen  Program   is officially launched! Funded by  FedDev Ontario's Canada's Women Entrepreneurship Strategy , this accelerator program worth over $2,000 is designed to equip women-founded/co-founded  startups  in emerging technology or related industry with the necessary skills to turn their ideas into reality. For more info, please click here.

EPICentre  is also part of a Consortium, led by the  WindsorEssex  Community Foundation, to deliver the  Investment Readiness Program (IRP)  in our region (Windsor-Essex-Sarnia)  to social purpose organizations . The program will provide non-repayable capital from $10,000 to $100,000 to social enterprises, charities, non-profits, and co-ops . Application will open in  January,  2020.  Visit  www.wecf.ca  for more information.

Thank you all for making 2019 a great year! Happy holidays to you and your families.  See you back in 2020!
Wishing You A Safe & Happy Holiday Season
From the EPICentre Team
