November/Decemb er 2016

As we get ready to celebrate  Thanksgiving, it gives us the perfect opportunity to teach our children the character quality of thankfulness. During the month of November, all recreational classes will take a brief moment each week to discuss what thankfulness is and what we can be thankful for. Encourage your child to complete a thankfulness leaf and turn it into the front desk so we can decorate our walls.  Let's make thanksgiving a way of life, not just a one-day event!

November Theme: Thankful Hearts
To celebrate Thanksgiving, teachers and students will be discussing the character building concept of thankfulness during circle time. Students will receive a thankful heart leaf the first week of  November to decorate at home, cut out and bring back to add to our Thankful Hearts wall! For more information about upcoming events, themes and more check out the Gymster Gazette by clicking HERE!

Acrobatic Gymnastics Team

The 2016 Region 1 Athlete Clinic took place the weekend of October 15-16.  Hosted by West Coast Training Center in Livermore, CA, half a dozen clubs attended with a total of near 150 athletes!!  Athletes had a chance to work with top level clinicians!  Training focused on acrobatic partner skills, tumbling, dance and performance!  It was an awesome time of athlete bonding as well with a chance for teammates to spend an entire day together working out in the gym.  The clinic also allows an opportunity to meet new friends from other clubs in the Region!  We were extremely proud of how everyone did at the clinic and are enjoying the motivation that comes from these group events.

Training and development continues this month with Team ATA!  Many of our pairs and trios are starting to master their competition skills and are in the beginning of learning choreography!  Pairs and Groups schedule special sessions to learn their competitive routines.  It's an exciting time for athletes to put some of that dance training to work as their routine creations come to life.

Have a Great Day!
