Life continues to be overwhelming for many as we navigate this pandemic. Essential workers, educators, social sector workers, nonprofits and small business owners continue to face daily challenges. Large corporations have had to rethink, pivot, and respond rapidly to supply/demand with keeping the health and safety of their employees in the forefront. Those we work collectively to serve, our neighbors in need, now see increased barriers to access the building blocks of life: education, financial stability, and health. The need is evident. Our support is critical. When the world feels overwhelming, I find it helps to go back to the basics. One such basic is kindness. Abraham Joshua Heschel, an American-Polish rabbi once said, "When I was young, I admired clever people. Now that I am old, I admire kind people.” What a deeply profound perspective on the the immense impact of kindness.
In October we launched our 2020-2021 Campaign and 'United We Rise' was born. A call to our community to give of one's time, talents, treasures, and to lead with kindness, was set in motion. The turn out was fantastic! If you missed out on any of the events or want to get involved, browse through this e-newsletter and please don't hesitate to reach out.
It is you that makes the difference. The countless individuals, small businesses, and corporations who step up to give back. You keep us moving forward in this pandemic. A remarkable way we can help others rise, is by uniting. Please consider contributing to United Way as an individual or through your corporate giving Campaign. Join us and together we can invest in our community to make a BIG impact!
In Gratitude,

A new tomorrow can’t be reached alone. To lift our neighbors, we must LIVE UNITED starting today.
