Tenant Highlight: Utility Consumers' Action Network
Say hello to a new Jacobs Center tenant Utility Consumers' Action Network (UCAN).

UCAN is a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting consumer interests by advocating for lower rates before the California Public Utilities Commission ensuring fair billing practices through advocacy and representation of consumer interests in other settings.

Rhythm & Blues Festival
The Rhythm & Blues Festival is coming to the Market Creek Amphitheater this weekend!

The 2-day festival will include performances from a variety of artists, comedians and a lowrider showcase.

SoCal Pre Apprenticeship Program Job Fair
Looking to learn about the trades and make industry connections? Join SoCal Pre Apprenticeship Program for a free hiring fair on Thursday, Nov. 18 at the Jacobs Center.

This event is happening from 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. and is open to the public.

Drive Through Turkey Giveaway and Walk-Up Vaccination Clinic
On Saturday, Nov. 20 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Assemblywoman Dr. Akilah Weber is hosting a drive-through turkey giveaway in the Jacobs Center parking lot.

In addition, the County of San Diego will be providing Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccinations in the Jacobs Center's Celebration Hall from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Scholarship Nights
Attention parents of 12th-grade students!
The San Diego Foundation and Cal-SOAP are hosting free scholarship virtual events to provide students and parents information on available scholarships and how to apply.

The events are free and are open to all San Diego County and Imperial Valley students and families.
Local Doctors Address COVID-19 Misinformation
On Nov. 3, the County of San Diego Health and Human Services held a COVID-19 misinformation discussion with an independent panel of local doctors.

The recording of the Zoom panel discussion is available in both English and Spanish.
