Alberta Chamber of Commerce Responds to Provincial Budget

The Alberta government released Budget 2019 on October 24, which largely aligns with the priorities of Alberta businesses and members of the public expressed in Alberta Perspectives survey one .

Budget 2019 takes steps to put Alberta back on stable financial footing by acting on three ACC priorities:
  •  Keep operational spending to zero per cent growth until the budget is balanced
  • Prioritize capital investments by economic impact
  • Prioritize spending in education and skills on models that will ensure Albertans thrive in a digital and innovation-driven economy
