STRATEGY TO SUPPORT: BRIDGING GAPS IN FUNDING

On Wednesday, November 5th, Noon - 1 pm (MT) Clint Reid, Associate Chief Financial Officer of U of U Health system will present on From Strategy to Support: Bridging Gaps in Funding.Any interested administrators, financial managers, or leaders are encouraged to join! CME credit is offered.

OASES: SPINE SEMINAR

University of Utah Department of Orthopaedics will hold their third Orthopaedic Academic Seminar & Education Series (OASES) on Saturday, November 8th, 8 - 11 am (MT). The session include presentations on: Spine Anatomy, Conditions Requiring Emergent Treatment, Back Pain in the Athlete, and more spine-related topics! Participants can join in-person at the University of Utah Orthopaedic Center or virtually, via Zoom. CME credit is offered.

HARVESTING KNOWLEDGE: UMA FALL CME SYMPOSIUM

The Utah Medical Association is hosting their annual Fall CME Symposium on Saturday, November 8th, 8 am - 5 pm (MT). Join for a full day of valuable CME, professional networking, and updates in medical practice. An outstanding lineup of expert speakers will present at the Utah Medical Association Event Center in Midvale, Utah. CME credit is offered. A fee is associated with this event.

APPROPRIATE ANTIBIOTIC USAGE

On Wednesday, November 12th, Noon - 1 pm (MT), Emily Spivak, MD, MHA, Co-Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs at University of Utah Health and the Salt Lake City Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, will present on antimicrobial stewardship in clinical settings. The presentation on Appropriate Antibiotic Usage will be held in-person at Mountain West Medical Center (Tooele, Utah) as well as virtually on Zoom. CME credit is offered.

TRIGGERS TO TRIAGE: RECOGNIZING & RECOVERING FROM TRAUMA

Captain Layne Hilton will present From Triggers to Triage: Recognizing and Recovering from Trauma for the December Monthly Affiliate Call. All healthcare workers are welcome to join this special session to talk about workplace trauma and the steps to recovery, Wednesday, December 3rd, Noon - 1:30 pm (MT). CME credit is offered.

PREGNANCY CARE ECHO


The Pregnancy Care ECHO connects obstetrics professionals in rural and urban areas to facilitate an effective "knowledge network." Participants learn about the latest in clinical trends from leading experts in the field of obstetrics to increase treatment efficacy in pregnancy care. Join the upcoming session Birth Bridges: A Toolkit for Out-of-Hospital Birth Transfers by Fara Bitter, CD, LDEM, CPM; Suzanne Smith, CPM, LDEM; Cristina McLennan, DEM. The session will be held Friday, November 7th, Noon - 1 pm (MT). CME credit available.

U of U Health will host several Trauma Nursing Core courses in 2026. There are spots available for the January 8th - 9th, 2026 training, which will feature an interactive lecture and hands-on skills stations. A fee is associated with this course.
