As we await our 501(c)(3) determination letter, the World Affairs Council of Miami is not part of Give Miami Day this year. Instead, we're celebrating the day with the International Rescue Committee (IRC) Florida! Please join us in recognizing the resilience of survivors of human trafficking, unaccompanied minors, and immigrant youth on Thursday, November 18 at 5:30 PM at Bay 13 in Coral Gables.

German Foreign Policy with the Consul General of Germany

Our first in-person speaker event features Andreas Siegal, Consul General of Germany in Miami. Germany held its federal elections on September 26.

Consul General Siegal will share his perspectives on German Foreign Policy under their new government on Monday, November 22 at 6:00 PM at the Coral Gables Museum.

Josephine Baker and the French Resistance Virtual Event with the Consul General of France:

We're proud to be presenting the Consul General of France, Laurent Gallissot, in a virtual discussion of Josephine Baker and the French Resistance, on Tuesday, November 9 at 3:00 PM.

A renowned international entertainer, Josephine Baker was a French-American icon who broke racial barriers and fought in the French Resistance in WWII. She will be the first Black woman to enter the Pantheon in Paris this month.
