FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Greetings to Our Hub on Canal Supporters,

Now that Halloween is behind us, the holiday season has officially begun. Not everyone is happy about that, but I am. In my view, it truly is "the most wonderful time of the year." Whether you love the holidays or not, The Hub can help you make it a special time. The Hub will debut our yearly Gallery of Gifts on November 23. You can shop locally and avoid a mass-produced, commodity-filled season by purchasing unique, mostly hand-made creations from our artists and others. What's more, there will be a private, members only preview night on November 22, at which members will enjoy complimentary food and champagne and 10% off Gallery of Gifts purchases. If you are not yet a Hub member, there's time to join us in advance of this event--don't delay.

One of the nice things about the holidays is that the street gets decorated and spruced up. The Hub will of course decorate our gallery space but this will also be the first holiday season during which our incredible new mural adorns our Magnolia Street facade. Have you seen it lately? Hub artist Steve Hardock is getting down to the final brushstrokes, and you owe it to yourself to come by and have a look. Take some pictures. Interact with it, and share those images with your friends both near and far. It's public art we can all be proud of.

Finally, I'd like to draw your attention to our Music Night on November 8 (see below). This will be a salute to our veteran heroes. A color guard from the Boy Scouts will get the night started. Songstress Shannon Rae will team with The Hub's Veteran Band for a night of music to stir your patriotic feelings. I hope to see you there.
Richard England, President

OUTREACH CORNER

Art•Creating•Community
Our Fashion co-venture with the City of New Smyrna Beach, the Razzle Dazzle Fashion Club, has tripled in size since its inaugural year! We also now have High and Middle School Clubs, thanks to your generous support!

Each club is now led by a teaching team: MS Club welcomes back the one and only Samantha Hughes, Creative Mentor extraordinaire, and new to the Hub, Orlando Designer Jam Quinones, winner of the Emerging Designers award at the 2017 Orlando Global Fashion Show. She is an Airforce Veteran and in November especially, we thank her for her service! The HS Club, welcomes Ms. Heidi Kochis as Creative Mentor. Heidi is Veteran of VCPS, and her theatrical background will be an asset to the designers finding their style! Mrs. Beverly Hales, the designer of Showdolls Costumes during their 14 year National Championship run, is taking the design and sewing helm. She brings experience, skill and a love of NSB kids that can't be beat. This is a can't lose team and on May 17, 2020 - prepare to be dazzled when the Premiere Models hit the Brannon Center Runway in the student creations!

Anyone with a dusty sewing machine in the garage, we will happily give it a new home! We could use a few more!
Thank your staff or gather your friends. There's no better place for a holiday get together than The Hub. Make your plans now for the best availability. For questions or to book now, contact Richard England at 386-957-3924. (details)
