Ford Holiday River Parade

The Ford Holiday River Parade is a San Antonio tradition that offers an amazing one-hour parade along the San Antonio River Walk. This year’s theme, Tastes & Traditions Around the World, will kick off the San Antonio tradition of ringing in the holiday season.

The parade and river lighting ceremony will feature illuminated floats and over 100,000 lights (2,250 strands) that light the River Walk. The lights turn on from sundown to sunrise every day until the weekend following New Year’s Day.

Tickets will be sold online. The majority of River Walk restaurants offer dinner packages.

Several free viewing areas are offered on the parade route (bring your own chair). This space is available on a first-come basis: East side of the River Walk between Pecan Street and Richmond Ave.

Children 2 years of age or older will need a ticket.

Strollers, ice chests, and carriers are NOT allowed on the River Walk for this event.

ADA tickets are available in certain areas of the parade.

Tickets are non-refundable/non-exchangeable.

El Ford Holiday River Parade es una tradición de San Antonio que ofrece un increíble desfile de una hora a lo largo del Paseo por el Río San Antonio. El tema de este año, gustos y tradiciones alrededor del mundo, dará inicio a la tradición de San Antonio de sonar en la temporada de fiestas.

El desfile y la ceremonia de iluminación del río contarán con carrozas iluminadas y más de 100.000 luces (2.250 hilos) que iluminan el Paseo del Río. Las luces se encienden de la puesta del sol a la salida del sol todos los días hasta el fin de semana siguiente al Día de Año Nuevo.

Los boletos se venderán en línea. La mayoría de los restaurantes River Walk ofrecen paquetes de cena.

November’s Second Thursday at the McNay Art Museum

Join us for November’s Second Thursday at the McNay Art Museum, celebrating the opening of "Do Not Meddle With It!!: Print Censorship in 19th Century Paris." The exhibition explores how artists from Honoré Daumier to the Guerrilla Girls have used printmaking to challenge censorship and speak truth to power. Bring your blanket and lawn chairs to relax on the grounds, enjoy live music, and take part in themed activities. Dogs on leashes are welcome outdoors.
