A Message from Karyn

We hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving. The month of November represents reflection and recognition in many ways, and after the Thanksgiving super sales on Black Friday and Cyber Monday have passed, the opportunity to give presents itself with events such as #GivingTuesday, a day where many people around the world take the time to give to charities and support their causes. This #GivingTuesday we are challenging our supporters to support Sweet Blackberry in some way. That could be anything from introducing our organization to a loved one to choosing us as your AmazonSmile organization of choice!

While this month's newsletter is packed with holiday giving opportunities there is  one thing we never fail to miss during the holiday season -- delectable food. This month, Sweet Blackberry is asking for you to send in your favorite recipe for the holiday season to share in an album in our next newsletter and website.

Happy November and we look forward to hearing from all of you.

Best,
Karyn

#GivingTuesday refers to the Tuesday after Thanksgiving aimed at creating an international day of giving and mark the beginning of December's holiday season.

This year, Sweet Blackberry is asking our supporters to voice their support by introducing the organization to a loved one or choosing Sweet Blackberry as your organization of choice for Amazon Smile.

When you purchase items through Amazon.com, Amazon will donate a portion of the purchase price to your favorite charity organization.Simply register here: https://smile.amazon.com.

Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. We invite you to join the movement and to help get out and give this November 28th.  We also ask that you support Sweet Blackberry by sharing news of our organization to five loved one's this holiday season.

In addition, Sweet Blackberry also recognizes the need to support various organization's that align with your passion, morals and ethics. Visit https://www.givingtuesday.org/ to learn more about giving this holiday season.
Celebrating Black
Chefs and Restaurateurs
The holidays often have us craving our favorite dishes from family members we don't see often enough for our liking.

This month, Sweet Blackberry is not only recognizing black chefs and restauranteurs who have made their mark on American cuisine, but also asks you, our readers, to send in recipes and photos of you preparing these delectable items to be shared in next month's Sweet Blackberry newsletter.

Simply email a photo and recipe to sweetblackberrynewsletter@gmail.com to be featured.
