Pose of the month: semi-supine position
Go ahead, lie back and give yourself a Hug!
This semi-supine position is sure to give your spine just what it needs to release and let go of the tension and stress housed in your back body. As you walk your feet a bit wider than your hips, the knees can soften in towards each other making space for the lower lumbar spine/sacral/pelvic/hip area to drop into the earth. Exhale and allow it all to RELEASE.
Wrapping yourself up in a hug is so comforting and calming to your body and mind. These days we see our friends, family, and community but are limited to the amount of human contact we can safely have. I don’t know about you but that makes my heart feel almost too heavy to hold. So this is my go to pose. When I hug myself I am hugging EVERYONE! Gratitude in its highest form.
