GIRLS GOLF

On November 3rd, our girl’s golf team ended their season competing in the CIF Division 2 Team Championships at Bear Valley Country Club. The girls battled a tough course with gusty winds to a 5th place finish, beating several teams they lost to in the regular season. Lindsay Shin was the best score for the Lancers, finishing at +7. On November 6th, Lindsay Shin played in the CIF Individual Championships at Temecula Creek Golf Club where she finished her season in a tie for 34th place out of over 100 golfers. GIRLS TENNIS

Our season came to an end in a competitive Division 2 CIF Playoff match losing to Arcadia 7-11. The Lady Lancers finished the season with a 9-7 record and achieved their goal of making it to playoffs in a very tough Crestview League. Maya Orton got 2nd place in the Crestview League Finals tournament, which allowed her to represent Sunny Hills at the CIF Individuals Girls Tennis Tournament on 11/24 at the University of Redlands. Maya was able to win her first round (6-0, 6-0) before losing in the 2nd round of CIF Individuals. To get to the 2nd round means that Maya was a top 64 girls tennis player in the CIF tournament, which is an outstanding achievement. Congratulations to Maya for this achievement and to the entire girls tennis team for a fantastic season!
