Employees of the Quarter

Cherry Valley

We have a three-way tie for Employee of the Third Quarter at our Cherry Valley facility. Congratulations to Courtney Kerch, Jessica Slusher, and Kristine Stewart! These ladies were nominated by several managers for their undeniable contributions in planning, organizing, and executing lpsen's 75th Anniversary events. In addition to handling their regular responsibilities, Kristine, Courtney, and Jessica spent countless hours executing every detail of multiple events with excellence. From honoring the legacy of the Ipsen family and the contributions of long-term employees to making sure everyone had a blast at the employee events with games, food and caricature artists, their thoughtful work throughout 2023 led to truly memorable events. They each went above and beyond to ensure lpsen's 75th Anniversary celebrations were a grand success.

Please join me in congratulating Courtney, Jessica, and Kristine on achieving Employee of the

Quarter!

Souderton

Scott Cope has been named Employee of the Third Quarter for Ipsen Souderton. Scott has been part of the Ipsen team since 2011. As a Fabrication Mechanic, Scott is currently ahead of schedule with his workload and has taken on other assembly tasks to assist fellow coworkers with meeting delivery dates on several jobs. He has assisted greatly with training new employees on various assembly tasks and is always willing to help others. Scott is known to do whatever is needed to make sure his responsibilities are completed in a timely fashion while ensuring high quality standards. This includes coming in on Saturdays and staying late whenever necessary. Thank you for your strong work ethic, willingness to help others and positive attitude, Scott.

Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition as Employee of the Quarter!

We are excited to announce that Ipsen has launched it's first customer portal, Ipsen Connect. The Ipsen Connect portal will allow our customers to easily access furnace documentation, request parts, view order history, schedule service, view training videos, read articles on best practices, and more! We have already launched the portal to a test group of customers and plan to offer it to all customers by the end of 2024. Check out this video for a sneak peek.

Heat Treat 2023 Tradeshow

Ipsen participated in ASM's Heat Treat Tradeshow in Detroit from October 17th-19th. This tradeshow is held biannually and showcases the latest in heat treat technologies. Ipsen's sales team was on hand to speak with customers, such as GE Aviation and John Deere, to show off what we are planning for next year.

This tradeshow also has a technical symposium with talks given by leaders in the heat treating industry. Ipsen was represented by Dr. Bora Özkan from Ipsen Kleve, who presented information on CO2 emissions, furnace selection, and atmosphere technology. Aymeric Goldsteinas also presented a look at the new PdMetrics and how Artificial Intelligence is being used to build the factories of the future.

Ipsen's First Kaizen Event

Ipsen hosted their first internal Kaizen event in October. Kaizen comes from the Japanese words kai, meaning change, and zen, meaning goodness. It is a concept that focuses on continuous improvement in business. Various departments within Ipsen, including operations, customer service, and sales came together to discuss ways to keep improving Ipsen on a daily basis.

Customer Spotlight: PCC

Precision Castparts Corp (PCC) is the world leader in investment casting. Started in 1951 by Joseph Cox in Portland, OR, they specialize in highly complex cast parts, forged products, metal alloys, and airframe products for aerospace, industrial gas turbine, and defense. They have seven divisions and over 50 locations across the globe. They have Ipsen furnaces in use at several of their locations.

Their PCC Airfoils division has been using the HEQ-5248 furnaces as part of their production process for single crystal castings to eliminate grain boundaries altogether. Using this furnace creates turbines that are resistant to high temperature creep and extends the service life of the turbine. They have also just ordered an Ipsen furnace for their quality testing lab to replace an older competitor's furnace, and they use our furnaces for airfoil production and cast fasteners.

We are glad to be a supplier for their heat treat furnaces for over 40 years!
