Gibson, ’70, recently highlighted the achievements of Jesse Walter Arbor and Dalton L. Baugh, Sr., fellow alumni of Arkansas Agricultural, Mechanical and Normal College (AM&N), now UAPB.

UAPB Doctoral Student of Aquaculture/Fisheries Wins First Place in Research Competition


F.M.S. Abdal, a doctoral student of aquaculture and fisheries at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB), recently won first place for best student oral presentation at the Society of Wetland Scientists South-Central Chapter meeting in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He will be awarded a $900 prize for his achievement.

UAPB Alumnus Awarded Distinguished Legal Service Award in Missouri


The “Richard S. Arnold Award for Distinguished Service” was recently awarded by the Eighth Circuit Bar Association to UAPB Alumnus Jerry M. Hunter. Hunter is Senior Counsel at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP with special expertise in labor and employment law.

FAFSA for 2026-27 Now Available!

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2026-27 academic year is now live. Filing the FAFSA is the gateway to the largest source of funding for higher education, including federal grants, loans and work-study. It’s also required for most state and institutional aid, even for families who don’t think they’ll qualify. 


All U.S. citizen college students are required to complete the FAFSA each year.
