Friday, November 19, 7:00 p.m. - St. Francis of Assisi, Ann Arbor
Marijim Thoene will present a lecture on “The Identity of St. Cecilia Based on the 13th-Century Beaupre Antiphonary Created for Cistercian Nuns.” Chants will be sung by soprano Catherine Moss and Marijim. Images of St. Cecilia will be shown and medieval organ music will be played by Dr. Thoene. The program is hosted by the Ann Arbor AGO on November 19, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi on 2270 East Stadium Blvd. in Ann Arbor, MI. Free and open to the public. 

Friday, November 19, 7:30 p.m. - Our Lady Star of the Sea
Organ 20th Anniversary Concert celebrating the 2 manual/43 rank Karl Wilhelm organ. Performing will be organists Dr. Ronald Prowse (who performed the dedication recital), Matt Jakubisin (former Music Minister, Our Lady Star of the Sea and presently Director of Music at the St Andrew’s Cathedral, Grand Rapids), Glenn Miller (Music Minister, Our Lady Star of the Sea), and soprano Angela Theis. Free will offering; Star of the Sea is located at 467 Fairford Road, Grosse Pointe Woods.  

Sunday, December 12, 4:00 p.m. - Our Lady of La Sallette
The Ministry of Music at Our Lady of La Salette Church in Berkley Michigan is pleased to present Dr. David O. Wagner as organist for the rededication of the 1967 M. P. Moller pipe organ that was recently restored on Sunday, December 12 at 4:00 p.m.
David Wagner is a concert organist who has performed throughout the United States, in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, Hungary and in Russia. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Michigan where he studied with Marilyn Mason. In addition to his work as a solo performer, Wagner has also been organist and harpsichordist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Dave is the recipient of the Palmer Christian award from the University of Michigan School of Music, for postdoctoral achievement in the field of music performance, and the Arts Achievement Award from Wayne State University. As a classical music broadcaster, Dave Wagner has a national reputation and is heard regularly as the morning/afternoon host on WRCJ in Detroit.
The organ concert will feature works of the Advent and Christmas season. David will delight listeners with his amazing technical skill and engaging, colorful commentary.
