trained in reykjav�k and certified as a goldsmith in copenhagen, Helga �sk is a rare talent - one of a very few modern jewelry designers skilled in the rare art of filigree. 

Ms. �sk gives an ancient technique new and exceptionally modern twists using new metals, patinas and shapes.

Helga �sk's stunning work of modern filigree has exhibited in New York, Berlin and the Danish Museum of Art & Design. No Roses Gallery is proud to debut her collection on Tuesday, November 8th. The exhibition will continue through the end of 2011.

Gutenberg would be proud. And absolutely delighted.

Using a centuries-old relief printing process called, "letterpress" our friend Alyson at A Papier creates simply beautiful cards, gift tags, stationery and invitations by combining images from the past and present with beautiful type and marrying them with rich papers.

Since A Papier is nearby No Roses Gallery in Los Angeles, Alyson stopped by a couple weeks ago to bring us the goodies: Holiday cards, gift boxes of both themed and randomly mixed cards for every occasion and packs of colorful gift-tags! All are beautifully printed on luscious paper.

What a wonderful alternative to mass-printed gift-giving accessories. Thanks Alyson!
