STUDENT KUDOS

Kudos X2 for LSSU's Athletic Training Students
LSSU's Athletic Training students won the 14th annual Michigan Athletic Trainers Society Student seminar and Quiz Bowl held at Grand Valley State University. The winning team consisted of Taylor Shann, Jonathan McBain and Austin Hawks.
The team competed against 11 other schools from the state of Michigan. The win allows them to represent Michigan at the Great Lakes Athletic Training Association (GLATA) in March.

LSSU's athletic training education program was also recognized by Special Olympics Michigan for ongoing volunteer efforts.  LSSU AT students and faculty have volunteered as part of the medical crew for many years helping with State Winter Games in Traverse City, and the Aquatic Championship and Regional Basketball Tournament - both held at LSSU. This award was the result of hard work and dedication by current students as well as by alumni and faculty who have participated over the years. Pictured here are Dr. Joe Susi, Becky Deloach, Alexis Donovan, and Riley Durbano. LSSU's AT students are guided by Asst. Professor and AT Program Clinical Education Coordinator Sarah Ouimette and Professor Joseph Susi.
