Lakeside Welcomes CFO Consultant
Peter Stephens has recently joined the Lakeside team as a CFO consultant. As a longtime Lakesider serving in a variety of areas, Peter has a deep appreciation and understanding of Lakeside operations. He also brings considerable financial experience to this role in which he is generously donating his services. While here, Peter's primary focus will be financial reporting systems and guidance in identifying and vetting applicants for Lakeside's next CFO.
Most recently Peter retired from his role as executive director of The Antique & Classic Boat Society, Inc., the world’s largest historical boating society. Prior to that, Peter also retired as the vice president and international CFO for Wendy’s International, Inc. where he was awarded the Dave Thomas Outstanding Management Award. He is a recognized expert in franchise finance and small business management.
Peter is a member of the Board of the R.E. Olds Transportation Museum and former board member of COSI Columbus and the Lakeside Chautauqua Foundation. Peter was also an Honorary Trustee of the Antique Boat Museum (NY). He is the author of “R.E. Olds, Automotive Pioneer and Yachtsman” as well as the author of numerous articles about antique and classic boats and cars. He is a recognized expert on early Oldsmobile & REO car history. He also had a US Coast Guard Captain’s license.
Peter and his wife Debbie have two sons and have been owners in Lakeside for 28 years. Their cottage at Sixth and Maple is a restored Sears & Roebuck catalog home. Their Golden Retrievers, Toby & Teddy, can usually be seen outside the cottage waiting for a Lakeside shuttle to come by so they can: i) get a treat, ii) get an illegal ride or iii) greet the riders.
Lakeside is grateful to Peter for lending his expertise at this critical time.

Strategic Plan Update
A Message from Kip Greenhill, President & CEO
The Board’s Strategic Plan priorities, released this past summer, are critical to the future success and stability of Lakeside, and we have already begun to make headway on their recommendations. However, our Strategic Plan work will continue as we engage with both the Association and Foundation Boards, community and staff to identity additional priorities not addressed in the initial guidance. It is important that all stakeholders have an opportunity to provide input as we move forward.
