Special Election Events

This is the final week before the election. It is time to put it all on the line! Join the Manatee Harris/Walz Team for a fun night of tacos & phone calls at Manatee County Democratic Party Headquarters.

Get Out the Vote for Kamala Harris and all our amazing candidates!

We will pair up to canvass Manatee residents. We will encourage our neighbors to get involved and make their voices heard. Knocking doors is simply the most critical and effective action we can take!

Unfamiliar with canvassing? No worries. A brief training will be conducted at the start of the event.

Join friends and like-minded folks at Manatee Dem HQ to watch election returns. It's a great alternative to what could be a nail-biting evening!

We are wishing our local candidates all the best. They've worked hard this election season and have done an amazing job of getting their messages out to voters.

Upcoming Events

Get into the spirit of the holidays! All are welcome to join the LBTQ+ Caucus for food, drink, and lots of good cheer. The menu will include a variety of appetizers, entrees and desserts. Separate checks will be accepted. The guest speaker will be Frank Alcock, Professor of Political Science at Florida New College. Professor Alcock will discuss what can be learned from the November 5 election results.

Our speaker will be Liv Coleman, professor of political science at the University of Tampa. She is a Manatee County resident who will provide an analysis of the 2024 election.

The Hispanic Democratic Caucus will conduct its November meeting online. The mission of the caucus is to bring Hispanics together to actively support and promote causes that benefit the Latino community. New members are always welcome.

Help sort and pack bags of fresh produce for Mobile Produce Pantry distributions. These fruits and vegetables provide needed nutrients to Manatee County children and families. No heavy lifting. Seating is available if needed.

Meeting topic: What did the November 5 election mean for Florida?

Our guest speaker is Rob Lorei. Rob is the host and managing editor of Florida This Week on WEDU. It is the longest-running news and political affairs program in West Central Florida. Rob and his panel of commentators will interpret Florida's election results. The cost of the Luncheon is $56.

This will be our time to discuss election results and caucus contributions to get out the vote, vote by mail and candidate support efforts. We will analyze what worked and didn't work for us.  All Democrats are welcome to attend. For more information contact Rob Hall.

Preelection Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from noon to 4:00 pm, Wednesday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Saturday from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
