WISER Woman:
We are proud to feature Dr. Kim Kimminau, Chief Of Staff & Chief of Strategy, Adjunct Professor of Family and Community Medicine at University of Missouri-Columbia, as our November WISER Woman. Dr. Kimminau is a biomedical anthropologist and health services researcher who has worked throughout her career with organizations trying to meet the health needs of their communities. She has focused on policy and practice in primary care, public health and health disparities. Learn more about her work here.
Meet the Researcher:
Thomas Kannampallil, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and the Associate Chief Research Information Officer for the School of Medicine. Dr. Kannampallil’s research interests lie at the intersection of computer science and cognitive science. His recent research has focused on the development and evaluation of multiple clinical decision rules for evaluating acute care opioid use, medication ordering errors, and chronic diseases.
