GUIDE OPCA’S PRIORITIES

2026 Training Needs Assessment: Oregon

in partnership with the NWRPCA

OPCA’s annual Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Needs Assessment is now open!

This year’s survey is divided by role, allowing us to gather insights from multiple perspectives across each health center—from leadership to frontline staff. It also includes Oregon-specific questions designed to help us tailor future training and support to our state’s unique priorities.

Please complete the assessment by Friday, November 14th.

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Survey

to inform the PSUD Workgroup goals

Help shape Oregon’s future work in substance use disorder services.

Your feedback will help us understand what is working, identify gaps, and inform our PSUD Workgroup goals over the next two years.

We want insights from all roles at your health center: Community Health Workers, Behavioral Health & Medical Practitioners, Pharmacy Staff, and Operations/Leadership teams.

It only takes a few minutes, and your perspective makes a difference!

FEDERAL & STATE AFFAIRS

Recording of the call on October 14, 2025

Working with Oregon's health centers, community partners, and policymakers to inform health policy at the state and federal levels is an important part of the Oregon Primary Care Association’s mission to transform primary care.

OPCA's policy team hosts a monthly webinar every month on the second Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM to keep members informed. Sign up here for call reminders and notifications.

OPCA also developed a new landing page to house policy resources in one place. We’re continuing to add tools and information to make it as useful as possible. Please access the Policy Briefing Room page here. If you have materials you would like to see on the webpage, please contact Erin Woods, Health Policy Analyst, at ewoods@orpca.org.

Management of diabetes isn’t just about counting carbs or checking blood sugar; it’s about having the right support system. For many Oregonians, that support starts at their local community health center, where care teams help patients navigate the challenges of diabetes with compassion and teamwork.

In this post, OPCA focuses on the delivery of the Diabetes Prevention Program in Oregon, the challenges faced by health centers, and interviews with the Oregon Wellness Network and Adapt Integrated Health Care.

Resources, tools, and upcoming learning opportunities mentioned in this blog are available in the CHC Toolbox section.
