Caloosahatchee Mindfulness

Dear friends,

Most of us love the beauty of autumn - the golds, crimsons, and oranges. What we often fail to notice is that autumn's beauty comes from turning inward and letting go. Trees pull their energy from the leaves back to the heartwood in preparation for winter. Without the chlorophyll, the leaves reveal their colors and let go. Perhaps we can learn from the lessons of this season and turn inward, letting go of trying to control. We can accept and allow, recognizing the constancy of change. We can rest. We at Caloosahatchee Mindfulness hope we can support your efforts in that direction.

Much Metta,

Maggie

Mindfulness Practice Opportunities

Walking Meditation

Walking in nature is a way to bring awareness to the present moment and all the beauty surrounding you, and can be a form of walking meditation. Thich Nhat Hanh says that the practice of mindful walking is a profound and pleasurable way to deepen our connection with our body and the earth.

We welcome you to join us at Lakes Park for Mindful Walking on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00 - 9:30 am. We meet at 8:45 am at Lakes Park. Turn right when entering the park and drive to the end of the parking lot. The community garden will be straight ahead. We gather there and walk through the garden area where bikes are not allowed. Our next walking meditation is on November 8.

Lakes Park has some shade and restrooms. Be sure to bring sun protection and water. There is a parking charge. This is a free offering through Caloosahatchee Mindfulness. Guests are welcome.
