Dear Friends and Art Collectors,
With a blink of an eye it is November, and as much as I hoped to slow down
a bit, I find my calendar filled with things to do. I've had much good news lately with gallery and internet sales. I've had work accepted into shows that mean a lot to me; I've even been in a few magazines and won awards. I've shaken hands and shared hugs at receptions.
But alone in the quiet of my studio is where I find solace. The harder I looked for "inspiration", (dirty word I know), the more elusive. So I stopped looking. And I just sat. And stared. And breathed in the quiet. And looked around the room.
We are human beings, not human doings. So for now I am just being... the
doing is coming at it's own pace. I've learned that gifts come to you when
you are ready to receive them. I've been gifted with the friendship of people
that have literally changed the trajectory of my life. All that shows now in
my work and my attitude toward my work. And I now see the word create in
all of creation.
There's a reason artists must make art. It's our breath and what runs in our veins. It's the reason to be.
