SHOP TALK WRAP UP

Seniors in the construction and plumbing trades had the opportunity to meet with local contractors to ask questions, make valuable connections and seek apprenticeships.

It was exciting to see the next generation of skilled tradesmen start their careers in the Lakes Region!

There were 23 senior students in attendance from the Plumbing/HVAC and Construction programs and ten building related companies.

Volunteers Wanted to help with the Children Auctions Set up and Break Down. Handy trades people should plan to come with tools and ready to help set up and/or dismantle the set so that it can be safely stored away. Two chances to help with this amazing community outreach! Set Up: Nov, 23rd at 9:30am and Break Down: Dec. 14th at 9am.

The combined homes showcased 38 bedrooms, 30 bathrooms and over 37K square feet of inspiring designs. Some of the homes saw over 900 visitors with over 5,500 home visits over the course of two days. This one-of-a-kind touring event helped to raise over $24,000 which goes back into the community through LRBRA’s commitment to Workforce Development with area high schools via educational scholarships, mentoring, and build projects inspiring the next generation of trade professionals.
