WINTER DIVERSION BUSING STARTS NOV 1

DIVERSION BUSING PROGRAM RUNS NOV 1 - APRIL 15 WITH COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

While we expect fewer weather-related flight diversions again this winter due to the new landing approach procedure, there will still be times when flights can't land and busing is needed. This diversion busing service, provided by the airlines and SUN airport, will continue to be offered with COVID-19 protocols in effect for passenger health and safety including:
  • Enhanced sanitizing of buses for each trip
  • Requiring masks for all bus passengers
  • Social distancing encouraged as feasible

SUN FLIGHT STATS
SUMMER FLIGHTS AND PASSENGERS REBOUND
SUN statistics show a significant year-over-year increase in air passenger traffic at SUN this spring and summer through September, although 2020 was certainly a very low point for SUN air travel due to the pandemic.

While there are optimistic signs on the horizon, these remain uncertain times and we are continuing to closely monitor booking patterns and trends as we head into the winter season.

REMEMBERING DON KEIRN

We pay tribute to Don, who served our community for so many years in so many different ways, including as a board member of Fly Sun Valley Alliance.
He will be very missed.

TRAVEL UPDATES for AIR TRAVELER HEALTH & SAFETY
Increased personal health safety in this era of COVID-19 is important to both airlines and air travelers.

Masks Still Required on Planes, at Airports
Federal law requires passengers to wear a mask when traveling, including travel by commercial air. All SUN airlines, United, Delta and Alaska, require face masks for all passengers, crew and employees. TSA requires all passengers in line for screening wear a mask and masks required for anyone in the SUN passenger terminal area.
