HASC LA Transitions Exclusively to Safety Essentials | |

The Health and Safety Council (HASC) Louisiana is proud to announce that beginning January 1, 2025, all HASC Louisiana and HASC locations will exclusively offer Safety Essentials® as the industry-chosen Process Safety Management (PSM) required Contractor Orientation.
In response to industry request for a single quality PSM training solution, and in order to help streamline the standardization of reciprocal safety training, HASC Louisiana (HASC LA) will discontinue offering alternative programs including Basic Orientation Plus® and Basic Orientation Plus® Refresher.
As a thank you to our customers and to ensure a smooth transition, we are offering a special promotion: Safety Essentials, regularly priced at $35, will be available for just $25 through January 15, 2025.

Occupational Health Center is Now Open! | | |

We are excited to welcome the HASC Occupational Health Center (OHC) to Southwest Louisiana! Temporarily located next door, the HASC Occupational Health Center offers employee testing, drug and alcohol testing, telemedicine and medical directorship. Overseen by providers board-certified in occupational medicine, HASC OHC will provide high-quality services with integrity at the most cost-effective rates. | |

Live Online Proctoring (LOP) is extending its hours for turnaround season.
You can now complete secure, interactive, and accessible training seven days a week.
Monday - Friday: 6 AM – 6 PM
Saturdays through November 16th:
6 AM – 6 PM
Sunday: 8 AM – 4:30 PM
Trainees now have more flexibility and opportunity to schedule training at their convenience.

ATTENTION: Digital safety badges are not accepted on site. Online course attendees, please visit the Safety Council for your badge.
The annual Permit Receiver Orientation at Westlake South Facility is mandatory for Contractor Supervisors handling permits. Pre-register through the Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana (code: 13WLCSPR). Click here for a step-by-step guide.

Starting January 2025, contractors must have Safety Essentials to enter WESTLAKE Petro/Poly; BOP will no longer be accepted. Contractors are requested to start taking SE-SAFE instead of BOP after June 1, 2024.
