The goal is to help people get the sleep they need and reduce the number of drivers who choose to drive while sleep deprived.

Breaking Ground on Innovation and Excellence

Sulphur, LA.—The Safety Council of Southwest Louisiana held a groundbreaking ceremony celebrating the start of construction on their new facility on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. The ceremony was attended by local business leaders, politicians, industrial site leadership, contractors, and chamber representatives.

The 25,000 square-foot facility has been designed with state-of-the-art technology to deliver innovation and growth to support workforce development. The new facility will be built on the current Safety Council campus, on the corner of Highway 90 (E. Napoleon St.) and Cities Service Highway (LA 108). Read more.

The COSM program is designed to help safety professionals advance in their careers. COSM offers specialized training for those with a minimum of 2 years of safety, health or environmental work experience.

Supervisors' Impact on Safety focuses on behavioral learning using real life scenarios affecting non-safety professionals in high-risk environments. This two-day course provides a toolkit for trainees as they learn critical safety practices.
