Heritage Insurance Chooses Westshore
One of the largest homeowners insurance companies in the U.S., has announced it will relocate its corporate headquarters from Clearwater to Westshore City Center. The publicly traded company, founded in 2012, will fully occupy an 88,643-square-foot building which is currently undergoing a $10 million renovation.
With 350 current employees, Heritage plans to expand to 700 in five years. MORE

HART to restore local fixed-route service November 15
Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (HART) will be restoring regular service schedules for all local routes and the TECO Line Streetcar System beginning on Sunday, November 15, 2020. The restoration brings HART up to 95% of pre-COVID service levels. Express routes serving Westshore are not in operation. HART continues to disinfect daily and continues to require face coverings onboard and stagger seating onboard. Visit GoHart.org for more information.
Vision Zero remembrance program on Courtney Campbell Causeway Trail 11/15
Vision Zero Hillsborough, the City of Tampa and Pinellas County will honor the victims and families who have been impacted by traffic crashes this year on Sunday, November 15 at 9 a.m. at Ben T. Davis Beach on the Courtney Campbell Causeway Trail. The annual program honors those killed on Hillsborough roads and illustrates the need to reduce traffic fatalities and serious injuries to zero. The Westshore Alliance is joining the Florida Department of Transportation and other transportation management organizations for Florida Mobility Week, October 30 - November 6. Mobility Week is a statewide celebration of making smart, efficient, and safe transportation choices. Even in a socially distanced time, you can participate by checking out the Mobility Week Virtual Room or signing up to win prizes as part of the Love To Ride bicycle challenge.
Drew Park Strategic Action Plan
The City of Tampa is seeking input for an update to the Strategic Action Plan for the Drew Park Community Redevelopment Area (CRA). The plan identifies infrastructure and other needs to support growth and development in the Drew Park area. Take the survey here
