La reunión incluirá una presentación sobre la campaña, entrenamiento sobre como promoverla en medios sociales y un almuerzo. Alas y Voz es una campaña de  Californians Together , que busca crear conciencia entre los padres de estudiantes que aprenden inglés sobre lo importante que es aprender a hablar, leer y escribir en los dos idiomas en la escuela.

We invite you to a meeting for parent organizers who want to participate in the Alas y Voz campaign. The meeting will include a presentation on the campaign, training on how to promote it on social media and a lunch. Alas y Voz is a Californians Together campaign, which seeks to raise awareness among parents of students who learn English about how important it is to learn to speak, read and write in both languages at school.

The selected bilingual educator will receive a $1,000 award at the 2020 Jornada Pedagógica Conference at LMU on
January 18, 2020. 
 
Eligibility Criteria :  
* Currently practicing bilingual teacher  
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a bilingual teacher  
* Focus on social justice and advocacy for English Learners  
* Commitment to professional learning as a biliterate/bicultural educator  
* Commitment to family and community engagement
