Winners of 2018 AARP Grand Pitch Competition Finale
AARP Innovation Labs announced the winners of its 2018 Grand Pitch Competition finale on October 25th. Eight winners of regional competitions gathered in DC for the final pitch event where they shared their intergenerational solutions focused on health, wealth and self.

A recent Marketplace article by Lisa Napoli called "Silver is the New Gold" highlights the work of Mary Furlong in the longevity economy. Mary is quoted in the article discussing the importance of the purchasing power of older adults:
"If you're in the care industry, you should be looking at the kind of woman who wants to upgrade to a luxury car with great sensors, so she can continue to drive. If you're in travel, you better be aware they're going to take six or seven trips a year."
