How Happy I Was If I Could Forget

Emily Dickinson

How happy I was if I could forget

To remember how sad I am

Would be an easy adversity

But the recollecting of Bloom

Keeps making November difficult

Till I who was almost bold

Lose my way like a little Child

And perish of the cold.

Dear Friends

Greetings from New Delhi, the finale of our 10th Anniversary Tour with Monika Herzig's Sheroes, celebrating the release of All In Good Time. We are performing at three of the Piano Man clubs in New Delhi and we present a workshop for the Global Music Institute. Prior, we spent 10 days in Kathmandu and collaborated with bands from Australia, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, and Nepal on music for the Jazzmandu Festival.

And we started the tour in Austria, Germany, and Spain with a series of concerts as well as a Jazz Girls Day for Jazzwoche Hannover. Throughout the journey we have met so many wonderful people, made new friends, and memories to cherish for a lifetime - I'm so grateful for this incredible opportunity and the musicians, promoters, and audiences that have made this journey possible.

All In Good Time is holding steady on the US JazzWeek charts, now scoring high for 14 weeks, thanks to all the DJs spinning the music and everyone listening. The album is available on all streaming services (search for Monika Herzig's Sheroes) - recommended order link - Bloomington friends, stop by Landlocked Music for your copy, buy local. I know Christmas seems far away, but signed CDs make a great gift -

Recording Academy Member friends, consider voting in the Best Jazz Album and Best Instrumental Solo category for Camille Thurman's smoking solo on All In Good Time, thanks.

Make sure to follow on Instagram @monikaherzig and/or Facebook @monika.herzig for lots of photos, videos, and updates from the road. So many places and adventures and memories to share. My favorite moments were collaborating with musicians from arund the globe at the Jazzmandu Festival and having flamenco dancer Mawi from Valencia perform with us on our Run the World cover.

A special request: we're running a research study on perceptions of jazz performance and need lots or participants - follow this link  https://pcl.sitehost.iu.edu/robsexperiments/tests&examples/jazz.html and share your perceptions for the greater good, no musical knowledge needed - and share the link with your networks, thanks!

AND - Zackary Herzig is presenting his solo cyr wheel show, sponsored by the Bloomington Area Arts Council on November 30, 7pm, Waldron Arts Center. The show will be followed by a discussion on mental health. It'll be a spectacle not to be missed - flier below!

Check the calendar below for upcoming performances

Thank you for your support and friendship
