IN-PERSON ACTIVITIES GUIDELINES
Big Brothers Big Sisters is following NJ state guidelines related to COVID-19. We continue to expect our matches to follow CDC and State guidance on Covid safety and in-person interactions -- see the link below to review our guidelines. We ask that you follow these recommendations and discuss mask wearing and activities with each other (parent/guardian/volunteer/child) when planning outings.
TAKE A HIKE!
Hikers of all abilities and experiences should be able to find a trail for them on these sites. They include an interactive map, reviews, and photos to help you plan accordingly. Don't forget to bring plenty of water, wear comfortable and supportive shoes, and pack some snacks just in case! The leaves have been slower than normal to change color this year, so there is still lots of time to enjoy the fall foliage this month!
MISTY MEADOW SHEEP
SHEARING EVENT
On Sunday, November 14, Misty Meadow Sheep & Dairy Farm is hosting an eventful day of fun and interesting things to see and do, including shearing their sheep! Come watch the shearing, fleeces being skirted and yarn being spun! There will be craft vendors, food trucks, hay rides, pony rides, live music, petting zoo and much more.
HOLIDAY CRAFT SHOW
Join EHT Recreation and 90+ vendors for their 11th Annual Holiday Craft Show on Saturday, November 13th! The event will be held at the EHT Community Center located at 5045 English Creek Avenue. This craft show features a diverse assortment of jewelry, crafts, and home-made goods. Craft Show will host vendors both indoors and outdoors.
FREE ACTING WORKSHOPS
Have you always wanted to give acting a try? Now's your chance! The Atlantic City Theatre Company will be hosting free community workshops, every Wednesday at 6:30pm-8:00pm, from now through December 15th, at The Noyes Arts Garage in Atlantic City, NJ. Parking is available on N Mississippi Ave or in the Noyes Museum parking garage for $4 cash.

As we approach Thanksgiving and the holiday season, it is important to think about everything we are grateful for, and serve your community by volunteering at a local non-profit near you! Use the link below to find volunteer opportunities in your area.
PICTURES WITH SANTA
Lang's Garden in Linwood is hosting a "Portraits in the Garden with Santa, with proceeds benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters! This is a pet-friendly event, with baked goods, complimentary hot chocolate, and more! Cost is $10 and this event only takes place on Saturday, November 27th and Sunday, November 28th. Keep an eye on their Facebook page for more details!
MOBILE FOOD BANKS
The Community Food Bank of New Jersey is currently running a Mobile Food Pantry service throughout South Jersey. Their mission is to bring food to areas where there are not enough food banks or soup kitchens to meet the need. Click the link to the Mobile Pantry schedule to find dates and locations near you!
MEDICATION DISPOSAL
Did you know that 1-in-4 teens has misused or abused prescription drugs? Most times, teens find these prescription drugs in their family medicine cabinet! You can help stop prescription drug abuse by dropping off your expired, unused or unwanted medications for safe disposal at your local CVS Pharmacy. FLU CLINICS IN YOUR AREA
Protect yourself and others with a FREE flu shot from a clinic in your area. A flu vaccination is the best way to prevent the flu and its potentially serious complications. Many clinics are by appointment only, so plan accordingly.
