Lowe's Grant Creates New Storage Solution | | |
Like many nonprofits, we've learned to make the most of every inch of space. Our garage has been serving many purposes at once, storing medical equipment, lawn and garden supplies, nonperishable food, trash receptacles, and more. As our needs have grown, it became clear that we needed a better solution.
Thanks to a generous grant from Lowe’s providing more than $5,000 in shed materials, we're taking the first step toward creating much-needed storage space by building a dedicated shed for our lawn and garden supplies. This new space will help us stay better organized and ensure our garage can be used more effectively for the equipment and supplies that support our mission.
We are incredibly grateful to the volunteers who turned this dream into reality by sharing their time, talents, and hard work. A special thank you to Randy Welker, Mark Ruesink, and Rich Welker for bringing this project to life.
| | | One Month Until Bowling Night! | | |
The countdown is on! In just one month, supporters of LaVigne Home will come together for an evening of fun and friendly competition at our annual Bowling Night fundraiser.
Join us on Friday, December 4 at B's Bowling Center in Flint, with check-in beginning at 6:00 PM and bowling starting at 6:30 PM. Gather your friends, family, coworkers, or community group and enjoy a night filled with bowling, prizes, community spirit, and compassion.
Every registration helps support LaVigne Home's mission of providing comfort, care, and companionship to individuals facing a terminal illness. Whether you're an experienced bowler or just looking for a fun night out, there's a place for you on the lanes.

Not a bowler? You can still support the event by donating a gift basket, gift card, or raffle item, or by volunteering your time on event night.
We look forward to seeing you there and sharing an evening that makes a meaningful difference for those we serve.
| | | GivingTuesday Launches Window Replacement Campaign | | |
On GivingTuesday, December 1, LaVigne Home will officially launch our year-end campaign to raise $30,000 by December 31 for a much-needed window replacement project throughout our home.
Replacing our aging windows will help improve energy efficiency, enhance comfort in every season, and preserve the warm, welcoming environment that our guests and loved ones deserve.
GivingTuesday is a global movement that inspires people to come together through generosity. Whether through a financial gift, sharing our mission with others, or offering words of encouragement, every act of support helps make a difference.
As we begin this campaign, we invite you to be part of the impact. Your generosity helps ensure that LaVigne Home remains a place where individuals receive dignified, compassionate end-of-life care in a setting that truly feels like home.
Every gift, no matter the size, helps us continue providing compassionate end-of-life care in a setting that feels like home. Thank you for being part of our mission and helping us make a lasting difference.

| | | Grief Support Group, New Winter Start Time | | |
Thursdays 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Grief Support Group now meets at 5:00 PM on Thursdays. As the days grow shorter and winter approaches, we made a small change to help ensure everyone can travel home safely before dark. We hope this earlier start time makes attending a little easier and more comfortable during the winter months.
Whether you're joining us for the first time or have been attending for a while, you are always welcomed. We look forward to seeing you and supporting one another on this journey.
Led by our board member, Chris Johnson, who is trained and experienced in navigating grief, this is a group for anyone who is looking for connection during a difficult time.
