NVCT Celebrates River Farm's Reopening with the American Horticultural Society

On November 1, we celebrated the much-anticipated reopening of River Farm with the AHS board, staff, community members, and our Save River Farm Committee after a year-long campaign to protect the historic property once owned by George Washington. Welcoming the community back to this legendary property was a joyous occasion!
Auction of Accotink Creek Parcels Postponed

Our collective community voice was successful in raising the profile of a set of sensitive land parcels along Accotink Creek in Annandale that were to be auctioned off to the highest bidder in early November. Fairfax County removed this invaluable at-risk trail corridor from Fairfax County's fall auction, but our work is not done. Learn more about how we must remain vigilant and ready to be back at auction to protect this unique property early next year.
Tuesday, November 30th, is #GivingTuesday, a celebrated day of worldwide generosity. Everyone has something to give, and every act of generosity counts. Be a part of the global movement by making a gift to NVCT and helping protect the little corner we call home.

Together, we will safeguard the treasured parks, nature preserves, and open spaces that make our Northern Virginia communities so special.

Make A Difference By Donating
The Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) is now open, and we invite you to join us! This year's theme is "You Can Be the Face of Change" and just like in years past, Federal employees can contribute to the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust directly through their paychecks.

By designating 61757 on the enrollment form, you will help NVCT protect the lands, waters, and scenic beauty of Northern Virginia. Visit https://cfcgiving.opm.gov/welcome to learn more and sign up today.
