Member of the Week
Plain Skincare LLC was formed in 2020. The ownership / leadership team is Laurie Ganong Jones,
managing member, marketing & sales; Tom Cass, chemical engineering and quality assurance; and Jon Jones,
finance and operations. They create, develop and market personal skincare products under the brand name
Rideau Organics. Rideau – which sounds like “rid dough” means small mound of earth in French. Plain
Skincare’s mission is to combine nature’s benefits with a scientific approach that has resulted in effective,
healthy products for dry, diabetic and aging skin. The founders are outdoor enthusiasts, and their hashtag is
“Hydrating Skincare for Active Lifestyles”.
Products are made at a USDA Certified Colorado facility. To ensure product safety, each batch is tested
for bacteria at an independent Colorado laboratory.
Rideau Organics products are sold in Sterling at CJ Barnes Pharmacy and Lorenzo Apothecary. Online
sales channels include Amazon, Google Merchant Center, Meta Marketplaces, and Rideauorganics.com. They
are in-process of launching on SHEIN U.S. Brand Marketplace. This year, they shipped to over 20 states. Laurie
thanked family, friends, customers and the business community for their continued feedback and support. She
added they have regular orders from out of state customers who learned about Rideau by visiting their booth
at the Logan County Chamber Flea Markets or Sugar Beet Days.
