Become part of the ACT Work Ready Community in Douglas County!

Hire the Best. Hire Work Ready Employees.

Work Ready Communities help you match employees to jobs based on verified skill levels.

What is Work Ready Communities Initiative?

The ACT Work Ready Communities Initiative is a strategic framework, where the supply of ACT National Career Readiness Certificates (NCRC) earned by individuals, is matched with a demand by businesses who either recognize or recommend the credential. Employers can help their communities build a stronger workforce with the right foundational skill by supporting their counties by learning how the ACT NCRC can help them find the right employee, with the right skill set. Heartland Workforce Solutions and Metropolitan Community College are partnered in supporting this initiative.

Heartland Workforce Solutions and Metropolitan Community College were happy to be recognized with a Work Ready Community award for our collaborative efforts in Douglas County at the 2022 ACT Workforce Summit in New Orleans on October 4th, 2022.
