This year's Halloween themed Customer Appreciation Event was was a huge success! Everyone had a great time dressing in their favorite costumes, while they enjoyed catered food from Rusty Taco, a full nacho bar, and live music. Joe Reger joins Parallel team as Sales Director
As Sales Director for Parallel Technologies, I am eager to meet more of our clients and partners. By way of introduction, my background includes nearly 20 years of direct collaboration with IT leaders via NOREX, a peer to peer networking group. NOREX provides a venue for leaders to obtain real-world peer insight into their most pressing IT challenges. Joining the Parallel team, with its market leading experience and capabilities to agnostically assess client needs and expertly integrate technologies that address these same pressing infrastructure issues, is an extreme honor.
UPS Part 2UPS Efficiency (Part 2): Why is it Important?
For years, the primary criteria for a UPS selection has been the Reliability of the UPS.  While it's assumed that any UPS could theoretically fail, it only makes sense to select a vendor and model known to already deliver consistent and highly predictable performance.
Here at Parallel, we agree that reliability is usually the de facto deciding factor in selecting a UPS, but it is also important to STOP (in reference to the image above) and consider the importance of efficiency when selecting a UPS for your data center or other critical facility.
With rising energy costs in many parts of the country, the desire for businesses to reduce operating costs (including energy consumption), and the inability for many businesses to add more power in their facility - the need becomes mandatory, instead of just "nice to have."

Dale Klein
Executive Vision of Building Controls
Being a fan of technology and the Vikings has taught me patience.  As most kids growing up in Minnesota, I was a loyal Vikings fan who dreamed of seeing them win the Super Bowl.  I can still recall my frustration when my dad would say, rather pessimistically, that the Vikings were not going to win the Super Bowl any time soon. I suppose he was jaded from four previous unsuccessful attempts.
Often times I think the same applies to the latest technology.  Unquestionably there is real reason for excitement, but typically the initial outcomes fall well short of the heightened expectations.  Yet over an extended period of time and full maturation process, the technology does deliver on many of those promises.

PTI Chili Contest 2015
Every year Parallel employees gather together to try to create the winning pot for the PTI Chili Cook-Off! Each team is grouped together by department, and we invite guest judges to come in and rate each chili's flavor, spice, and the over all presentation. This contest is not taken lightly around here, but is always one of the most fun events of the year!
