NEW PROGRAM! Triple P Positive Parenting Program is our newest Family Support Program. Little children can have BIG emotions, which can lead to meltdowns, bedtime battles and aggressive behaviors. Triple P helps caregivers have a toolbox of solutions to combat these tricky behaviors and provides strategies that are proven to work. Our parent educators are equipped with “tip sheets” to help parents develop a plan that will work for them to help alleviate these behaviors. This program provides brief one-on-one consultations to support parents in positive parenting practices. We are excited to be able to offer in person sessions! Call our office at 336-751-2113 to speak to one of our Triple P parent educators to see if this program may be a good fit for you!

In October:

Held our Annual Early Educator Conference

Strengthening the Foundations of Quality:

Our Annual Early Educator Conference was a fantastic way for over 50 Educators to earn required training credits. We appreciate all of our presenters and keynote speakers for sharing their knowledge with us. Thank you Rescue House for allowing us to utilize your space. We would also like to thank Food Lion of Bermuda Run, Frito Lay, Lakeshore and Kaplan for their donations. A big shout of appreciation to our volunteers who made sure that the day went smoothly.

Kaleidoscope:

Playgroup families had a blast taking a field trip to

Koren Farms! Our playgroup kiddos were able to feed

Alpacas and pick their own pumpkin!

Kaleidoscope:

Playgroup families kicked off Halloween by attending a Super Hero Halloween Hop. Kids trick or treated around the office, participated in Halloween activities, and read a special story together.

Community Education:

Smart Start of Davie County had a great time in Downtown Mocksville for Public Safety Day. We had a dot art activity for kids, free books,

and resources for families.
