LOOKING FORWARD TO THE STUART BOAT SHOW

We’re looking forward to the upcoming Stuart Boat Show in January. But

first, I want to express my thanks to all those who came to see us at last month’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.

My team and I enjoyed talking with boaters and hearing about your fishing experiences, trips to the Bahamas, and time spent with family on the water. Also, we debuted our 41 Valor and were thrilled to demonstrate how input from the Intrepid Nation and other boating enthusiasts shaped the creation of this exciting new model. We always say that our customers are our top designers!

We continue to make excellent progress on other new designs under development. The new 427 Nomad SE will premiere at the Miami Boat Show. And I’m excited to say that the hull has been completed on the 51 Panacea that is generating so much interest.

Please take a few minutes to watch the video above for more details and to hear about Intrepid’s recent visit to Lake X, the legendary secret boat testing site. It’s always an honor to participate in the amazing innovation and advancements happening at this historic location.

real highlights for those who love life on the water. And that’s certainly true for all of us at Intrepid.

Our team had a fantastic time meeting Intrepid owners and enthusiasts while sharing our 2023 model lineup - which showcased our largest display of the year. Special thanks to all of you for visiting us at the show!

INTREPID TAKES PART IN LAUNCH OF NEW MERCURY V10

Innovation is a passion at Intrepid, so we were excited to be a part of the launch of Mercury’s new V10 outboards. In fact, these new Verados demonstrated their performance at Mercury's Lake X testing facility on our all-new 41 Valor.

I was able to experience the Mercury V10s up close and personal, and let me tell you, they are amazing engines. Their inspiring design comes with powerful torque, light in weight, and are incredibly quiet … they are the total package.

I foresee these Mercury V10 engines filling many of our transoms from twins to quint packages. Congratulations to the team at Mercury for continuing to take outboard power to a whole new level.

Greetings to all. We had a great Fort Lauderdale Show, so thanks to everyone who made it that way for us. That includes all the people who built the boats, transported them, and got them set up in our display. Last but certainly not least, are all our customers who came to see the fruits of our labors! Once again, thanks to everyone who made FLIBS 2022 possible.

NEWS FROM MERCURY’S SECRET BOAT TESTING SITE

We look forward to offering them to our customers in the future. The electric steering had a very nice feel to it and the engines are extremely quiet at speed.

Full specs and information on these motors can be reviewed at the link below. Mercury calls these new engines the Evolution of Premium Performance, and I’ll agree with that!

STRONG FINISH FOR THE SKA KINGFISH TOURNAMENT SERIES

The 2022 SKA Kingfish Tournament series concluded on November 19^th. The weather was a challenge, but it was a good opportunity for Jim Kelly and our Teledyne / FLIR Fishing Team to spend some time together out on Jim’s 407 Nomad SE.

FREE APP PROVIDES HELPFUL NAVIGATION INFORMATION

Automatic Identification System is an aid to navigation that allows for sharing of information between ships, search and rescue aircraft, and shore stations. For lots of reasons, having information on vessels that are in your vicinity is very helpful.

It’s always been a treat for me to get aboard a boat that’s equipped with AIS so I could know who was nearby and what they were doing. It used to be necessary to have a dedicated AIS system installed as part of an electronics package, but now there’s a free app called MarineTraffic available for both the Android and iOS operating systems on our mobile phones.

There’s lots of information available through this app, so it’s a great adjunct to any electronics package. It can be downloaded and accessed using the link below.
