D&K exhibited at InPrint, Munich earlier this month. The exhibition drew in excess of 3400 visitors over the three days.
Fifty-six per cent of the visitors came from within Germany. At the same time, the majority of the companies who exhibited at the show, 54%, are located abroad. Individually, Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Switzerland were represented best among the exhibiting countries at the show. Looking at the nationalities of the visitors, Germany, Italy, Austria, Great Britain, Switzerland, France, The Netherlands, Poland, the USA and Japan are leading the list of 65 countries.
Robin French, Managing Director, said "The concept of the show - trying to tell 'non-print' people that printing techniques might solve some issues for them - is intriguing. But because implicit in this is the fact that you are aiming to meet people you are not otherwise aware of, it is necessarily something of a leap in the dark and in fact it can be quite a long time before you can be sure that your presence was either a success or a failure. It seemed to me this year that some larger players have partly got round this by showing new developments for the print market; it will be interesting to see in the future how this develops."
