Welcome to Fall! Fall itself is amazing—it’s a time of change, mystery, preservation, comfort, balance, and letting go. Fall grants an opportunity to reflect on what has been, and what can be. As we begin to channel our thoughts on the remainder of 2020 and onset of 2021, the activities of October bring excitement and a power of believing.
Through our special October 2020 Workshop Series, Beverly, our Program Coordinator, and I have had the privilege of working directly with several business owners and WBC supporters in offering financial education and basics of becoming a business owner. We have seen people have to pause, pivot, and persevere throughout 2020. We have also seen a rise in creativity, and a rise in people who's passion has now become a major source of income for their households.
The WBC was grateful to be able to take the passion of the new business owners and share with them tools and resources to becoming strong business leaders, but also offer guidance to those who have had to redirect their business due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The resounding message we heard from the attendees of the 12 October workshops: belief. Belief that they can be great! So our adventure begins
