In This Issue:
Rhonda Musak, Acting Coach

As an acting coach, I help actors unlock the magic in their acting.
Over the past couple of years while working with Rhonda I have learned many of the finer details that are essential to an actor and have taken major steps forward as a result of the work we have created together. I like the saying "the better the coach, the better the result," that has proven to be true with Rhonda. When it comes to acting I trust her instincts.

At the end of October this happened:

Happy 7th Birthday
Art & Soul Acting!

On October 26, 2010 I officially launched Art & Soul Acting into the world. I have been so grateful to watch it grow from a tiny seed of an idea into a beautiful and vibrant reality.

Offerings to date include:
  • Acting Classes - since in 2011
  • Private Acting Coaching - in person in NYC & online
  • Book Club for Actors - now on our 39th playwright
  • Book That Job Blog & e-Zine
  • Summer Acting Intensive for Teens - since 2011
  • College Prep Program
  • Leap with Passion Workshop - going into our 10th year (this workshop began while I was teaching at the Elizabeth Browning Studio)
But what continues to bring me the most joy is you, my students. You've allowed me to be a part of your life and your art. I've been blown away continually by your courage and your passion and your dedication to learning and deepening this beautiful art form.  THANK YOU! You have enriched my life indelibly.

And now, in an awkward segue, just a reminder that the 39th Book Club for Actors will be the last, final, done and done Book Club for Actors. See details below if you'd like to get in on this last go around.

As I expressed in the September Newsletter, the Book Club for Actors has been phenomenal! And now it's time to let it go in order to create many more exciting things as Art & Soul Acting continues to blossom and grow. Stay tuned for those things in 2017!

And as Thanksgiving is now nipping at our heels, I'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you who came out to my recent performances of my solo show, Rhonda Badonda: The Adventures of a Girl with a Pain in Her Brain.

I truly treasured your presence at Theaterlab as I performed and loved that so many of you were able to stay for the talkback.

If you were not able to attend these shows, I just booked my first performance for 2018 and will keep you up-to-date on the deets as it gets closer.

And, finally, Leap with Passion! NYC & Online/Live dates are still tentative, but Chicago is confirmed for Wednesday, December 27 at 5 PM at Green Room Studio. Mark your calendars Windy City Leap-ers! NYC & Online/Live dates will be nailed down by the beginning of December. Can't wait to take this 10th anniversary Leap with Passion with you all!

Abounding gratitude -

Rhonda

Choosing Monologues That Will Set Your Auditions on Fire
by Rhonda Musak

Actors know that having a great set of audition monologues is an absolute must.  But it's that word "great" that can often put an actor into the throes of agony.  You read the audition notices, you see what it is that the auditioners are looking for, and with a plummeting heart you realize that you have nothing suitable to audition for a role for which you are perfect...
